A prominent trend in the protein expression market is the increasing research and development (R&D) activities on recombinant proteins. The technologies that are used to produce recombinant proteins, such as gene cloning and genetic engineering, have revolutionized the life sciences sector and enabled the production of biopharmaceuticals at an industrial scale. Their production on such a large scale has led to their application in disease diagnosis and treatment.
